  • What is CBD?
CBD, short for cannabidiol, is one of the many compounds found in the cannabis plant. Unlike its more well-known counterpart THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD does not produce a psychoactive effect and is therefore non-intoxicating. CBD is often used for its potential therapeutic benefits, such as reducing anxiety, pain, and inflammation. Additionally, it may have neuroprotective properties and may help with seizures, insomnia, and other conditions. CBD products come in many forms, such as oil drops, capsules, edibles, and topicals. It's important to note that the FDA has not evaluated these statements and research is ongoing about CBD effectiveness and safety.
  • Is CBD harmful?
No. There is no data indicating harmful effects on the body, but if you are being treated with certain medication, it is advisable to consult your doctor before combining them with CBD.
  • Will I get high from GoodWeeds CBD vapes?
No, our vapes do not contain psychoactive substances such as THC.
  • What is the difference Between CBD and THC?
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) are just two of the active ingredients found in the hemp plant, called cannabinoids. However, the two differ greatly in effect and application. While THC is known for its psychoactive properties, CBD gains popularity with its many positive effects on the human body. There are no negative side effects or addictive aspects, so it is considered a safe, natural alternative to nicotine, some painkillers, and antibacterial drugs.
  • Is CBD addictive?
No. CBD does not have the properties needed to create dependencies.
  • Can I overdose with CBD?
No. Cannabidiol has no proven negative effects when taken in high amounts and the specialized system of the human body – the endocannabinoid system – easily processes and distributes the substance where the body needs it. Moreover, doses toxic to the body are physically unattainable.
  • What are cannabinoids?
More than 140 active substances in cannabis called cannabinoids have been found. Curiously, in addition to those found in plants called Phyto cannabinoids, there are also cannabinoids, naturally created in the body of vertebrates (including humans) – endocannabinoids. Phyto cannabinoids and endocannabinoids drive the functions of certain receptors in the endocannabinoid system.
  • What is the endocannabinoid system?
The endocannabinoid system is responsible for a number of internal processes. Processes such as physiological functions in the central and autonomic nervous systems, the reproductive, endocrine, and immune systems, gastrointestinal tract, microcirculation (circulation through the smallest blood vessels), reproductive system, bones and other tissue. The endocannabinoid system is composed of two main receptors – CB1 and CB2. Each one is responsible for a number of vital processes. There is a high concentration of CB1 receptors in the brain. They are responsible for regulating relevant systems such as hunger, body temperature and alertness. CB2 is another type of receptor in the endocannabinoid system. It has a vital role as a regulator of immune function, as well as in modulating intestinal inflammation, contractions and pain. CB2 is famous in drug development due to the lack of psychotropic conditions obtained by stimulating CB1 receptors.
  • Is GoodWeeds CBD vape safe for driving.
It is generally considered safe to drive after taking CBD, as it does not produce the same psychoactive effects as THC, which can impair cognitive and motor function. However, it's important to note that CBD products can have different effects on different people, and some individuals may experience drowsiness, confusion, or other side effects after taking CBD. Additionally, some CBD products may contain small amounts of THC or other impurities that can affect a person's ability to drive. Therefore, it is important to always use caution when operating any vehicle or heavy machinery after taking CBD, and to wait at least a few hours before doing so if you are unsure of how the product affects you. It's also worth mentioning that driving under the influence of any substance is illegal and you should follow your local laws in this regard. Please consult your doctor before using CBD products for concerns regarding how CBD might affect you.
  • Can CBD be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
CBD has not been extensively studied in pregnancy and breastfeeding, so there is currently limited information on its safety during these times. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that CBD is generally well tolerated, with a good safety profile. However, pregnant and breastfeeding women should always consult with a healthcare professional before taking any new supplement or medication. They should be aware of the fact that even the amount of THC - a compound present in some CBD products - can be harmful to the developing brain and can cross the placenta and breastmilk. Furthermore, there is also lack of standardization in the CBD industry and some products might contain harmful substances or contaminants that are not safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women or their babies. It's important to make sure that the products being used are third-party tested and that they have been clearly labeled with their ingredients and potential contaminants, and that they follow the good manufacturing practices (GMP). It's also worth noting that the FDA hasn't evaluated any product for its safe use during pregnancy or lactation and that further research is needed to establish the safety and efficacy of CBD during these periods.
  • Are there any harmful substances in GoodWeeds CBD vape?
No. The e-liquid used in GoodWeeds vape is pharmaceutical-grade plant glycerin and pharmaceutical-grade propylene glycol, and the CBD extract has a number of quality and safety certificates.
